Retail investors deserve the same quality of information as institutional ones — without wading through dozens of paywalled sites. TickerNews brings the most relevant headlines for the companies you follow into a single, fast, ad-free feed.

What TickerNews Does

  • Aggregates financial news from 100+ established publishers (Bloomberg, Reuters, CNBC, WSJ, MarketWatch, Motley Fool, TipRanks, Simply Wall St, TradingView, Investing.com, Seeking Alpha, and many more).
  • Filters by company — pick from 6,350+ NYSE and NASDAQ listed stocks and we show you only articles mentioning the ones you follow.
  • Real-time push notifications when important news breaks about a followed company.
  • Bookmark and read later — save articles in a private reading list across sessions.
  • In-app reader — articles open in a lightweight native WebView. No jumping between apps.

What TickerNews Is Not

  • Not a brokerage. You cannot buy, sell, or trade securities inside the app.

  • Not a publisher. We do not author articles. Every headline links back to its source.
  • Not monetised via user data. No ads, no data sales, no tracking across apps.

How We Work

  • Aggregate — not author. We index headlines from 100+ publishers and link back to the original. Read our Editorial Policy.
  • Personalised, not algorithmic outrage. You choose the companies. We show their news. No engagement-maximising feed tricks.
  • Free, no ads, no tracking. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
  • Refresh cycle: every 15 minutes in the background, plus pull-to-refresh and instant fetch on newly-followed tickers.
  • Source diversity cap: no single source can contribute more than 5 articles per feed refresh, so you always see a balanced set of viewpoints.

Who Runs TickerNews

TickerNews is a product of Aperart, a small independent software studio based in Uttar Pradesh, India. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or funded by any brokerage, exchange, media outlet, or investment firm.

Google Play Compliance

TickerNews is listed on Google Play under the News & Magazines category and complies with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, including:

  • Data safety declarations — complete and accurate (see Privacy Policy).
  • Account deletion — available inside the app and via a public web page.
  • Editorial standards — transparent sourcing, no misrepresentation or plagiarism.
  • Intellectual property — prompt DMCA / takedown workflow.
  • Age rating — Everyone 13+. No violent, sexual, or otherwise objectionable content.
  • Permissions — only requests Internet and Notification permissions. No camera, microphone, contacts, or location access.

Current Android version: 1.0.11 (build 11). Target SDK: Android 14. Minimum SDK: Android 7.0. Built with React Native (Expo) and a FastAPI backend on MongoDB.
