1. Our Role as a News Aggregator

TickerNews is a news aggregator. We do not produce, author, or edit original news articles. All articles displayed in the app are headlines and links sourced from independent third-party publishers (for example: Reuters, CNBC, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch, Finnhub, Benzinga, Seeking Alpha, SEC filings, and others).

When a user taps an article, the content is retrieved from the original publisher's website. Copyright and editorial responsibility remain with the originating publisher.

2. Source Attribution

Every article in TickerNews includes:

  • The publisher / source name (e.g., "Reuters", "CNBC")
  • The original publication date and time
  • A direct link to the full article on the publisher's website

We never strip attribution, rewrite headlines to misrepresent the source, or present aggregated content as our own.

3. Source Selection & Quality Standards

We selectively aggregate from established financial publishers and official filings. Our selection criteria include:

  • Credibility — long-established editorial standards, verifiable authorship, or regulated disclosure (e.g., SEC).
  • Relevance — each article must mention the company name or ticker symbol in the title.
  • Diversity — we cap each source to a limited number of articles per refresh cycle so a single outlet cannot dominate the feed.
  • Recency — we prioritise articles published within the last 48–72 hours.

We do not aggregate from sites known for coordinated disinformation, pump-and-dump schemes, plagiarised content, or anonymous unverified authorship.

4. No Clickbait, No Misleading Headlines

TickerNews displays the original publisher's headline verbatim. We do not modify, sensationalise, or rephrase headlines. If an original headline appears misleading, users can use our Content Takedown channel to request review.

5. Corrections & Content Complaints

If you believe an article shown in TickerNews contains factual errors, violates copyright, or is otherwise inappropriate:

  1. For factual errors — please contact the originating publisher directly (the article link will take you there).
  2. For copyright or takedown requests — see our Content Takedown / DMCA page.
  3. For concerns about TickerNews itself (mislabeling a source, incorrect ticker tagging, etc.) — email info@tickernews.live with subject "Editorial Correction" and we will respond within 3 business days.

6. Editorial Independence

TickerNews is an independently-operated product of Aperart (Uttar Pradesh, India). Our content selection is not influenced by:

  • Advertising (we show no advertisements)
  • Paid sponsorships or promoted placements
  • Publisher partnerships that would prioritise certain outlets
  • Financial positions — we do not trade securities based on aggregated content

7. User-Generated Content

TickerNews does not currently host any user-generated content — no comments, forums, ratings, or reviews are displayed inside the app. If this changes, we will update this policy and add a moderation policy before launch.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclosure

TickerNews does not generate news articles using AI. Our backend uses automated systems only for:

  • Matching articles to tickers by keyword lookup
  • Deduplicating identical stories across sources
  • Resolving redirect/short URLs to the original publisher

We do not summarise, rewrite, or synthesise article bodies using AI. Users always read the original publisher's content.

10. Google Play News & Magazines Compliance

TickerNews complies with the Google Play Developer Program Policies applicable to the News & Magazines category, including:

  • Transparent source attribution
  • No deceptive behaviour or hidden monetisation
  • Clear account and data deletion controls (see Delete Account)
  • Respect for intellectual property rights
  • No misrepresented, impersonated, or plagiarised content
