Welcome to Tickernews ("App", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our mobile application and related services that aggregate and display news articles about publicly listed companies (including NYSE and NASDAQ-listed entities).

By downloading, accessing, or using the App from the Google Play Store or elsewhere, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least:

  • 18 years old, or
  • The minimum age required in your country to legally enter into a binding agreement (whichever is higher)

If you do not meet this requirement, you must not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The App provides:

  • Aggregated news feeds about publicly listed companies
  • Alerts based on selected company names or ticker symbols
  • Personalized tracking of companies

The App:

  • Does not create original news content
  • Uses third-party APIs (e.g., NewsAPI, Finnhub, or similar providers)
  • Displays publicly available news content

3. Google Play Compliance & Platform Terms

If you download the App from Google Play:

  • You also agree to comply with the Google Play Terms of Service
  • Your use must follow Google Play Developer Program Policies

4. No Financial or Investment Advice

The App is strictly for informational purposes only.

We do not:

  • Provide investment advice
  • Offer stock recommendations
  • Guarantee accuracy or outcomes

You agree that any reliance on content is at your own risk and you will consult a licensed financial advisor before making decisions.

5. User Accounts & Data Responsibility

If you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • Keep your login credentials secure
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

6. Notifications & User Consent

By using the App, you consent to push notifications and alerts triggered by keyword matching. You can disable notifications anytime via device settings.

7. Third-Party Content & Attribution

The App aggregates content from third-party sources. We do not own or control third-party content. Content remains the property of original publishers. We provide source attribution where applicable.

8. Intellectual Property

All rights in the App (excluding third-party content) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the App.

9. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the App for unlawful purposes, interfere with functionality, use bots or scraping tools, or attempt unauthorized access.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We comply with Google Play User Data policies and applicable data protection laws.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no guarantees regarding accuracy, reliability, or uptime. We are not liable for financial losses from reliance on content. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use. We may suspend or terminate access for violations. The App is available globally; you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

18. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Uttar Pradesh, India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, India.
